About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Branch Manager to support the Disability Employment Support (DES) teams at Castle. As a member of DES Leadership Team, the DES Branch Manager is responsible for leading and managing staff and resources at a branch/site level to achieve successful delivery of employment and related services to job seekers and employers. The purpose of this position is to ensure Castle sites can sustainably continue to change lives for participants through employment.

To achieve this position purpose, you will be required to:

  • Implement business development and marketing strategies for the site
  • Manage and monitor the inflow of participants to maximise service opportunities
  • Implement quarterly business plans to achieve site performance targets and objectives, including monitoring and analysing KPI data to identify issues and risks
  • Assist the DES Operations Manager to develop plans to address shortfalls to targets and implement agreed plans.
  • Collaborate with the DES Operations Manager, conduct employer engagement activities, maintain a community presence and connection with local organisations to promote Castle services and generate jobs and referrals
  • Confidently monitor and manage financial performance indicators of the site to meet budget

This position is a full-time role and will be responsible for Nelson Bay site and Newcastle site. The role will be primarily based at Nelson Bay office with a requirement to travel between Newcastle & Nelson Bay. There is an expectation to travel between other Castle sites when required by the participant's needs, the DES team needs and business needs.

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Science, Community Services, Human Services or Business and/or over 5 years of equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in leading and managing teams
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Disability Employment Services sector rules and requirements
  • Ability to market and promote organisation service offerings and work with other agencies and stakeholders
  • Ability to implement, manage and report on financials and other resources
  • Flexible communication skills, both written and verbal

Essential Criteria

  • NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current driver’s licence (minimum P2)
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as per NSW health orders
