Working alongside the female Cultural Officer, the male Cultural Officer is a key role within Carpentaria's Out of Home Care (OoHC) program, responsible for providing expert cultural guidance, advice, and support to ensure services are delivered in a culturally safe and responsive manner that is grounded in the rights, values, and lived experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families.
