Mealtime is the highlight of the day for many of our residents. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef who will aim to provide healthy and nutritious meals, create an enjoyable dinning experience. 

As the Chef, you will report directly to the Residential Manager and be responsible for creating and providing fresh, high quality meals for Carinity residents. You will also be responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen and dining rooms, including supervising staff to ensure smooth operations. In this role you will also have daily interactions with both residents and their families.

The role position is located at Carinity Aged Care – Wishart Gardens, this is a modern and attractive residential aged care facility located centrally in Brisbane and is close to shops, main roads and public transport. Wishart Gardens is a 104 bed Residential Aged Care facility with a great reputation in the community. A retirement village is also located on site.

What do I need for the role?

• Knowledge of and experience in preparing texture modified diets
• Understanding of aged care legislation and Accreditation standards
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with the elderly, staff and management
• Previous experience Aged Care/ Hospital Kitchens is desirable
