This role involves working in the field and responding to participants' needs as they arise, offering flexibility and a hands-on approach to care.

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist with community access and recreational activities 
• Provide personal care including showering, toileting, and hygiene support 
• Support mobility through manual handling and the use of equipment (e.g., hoists, wheelchairs) 
• Assist with transportation and encourage social engagement 
• Perform light domestic duties (e.g., meal preparation, cleaning)

Requirements 

• 2+ years of experience in support work (professional or lived experience) 
• Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs and complex behaviours 
• Skilled in using hoists, PEG feeding, and epilepsy management 
• Flexible availability and willingness to take on field assignments as needed 
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle 
• Vaccinated against COVID-19

• Understanding of the disability and community services sector 
• Commitment to person-centred support 
• NDIS Worker Screening Check 
• Legal right to work in Australia 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• A compassionate approach and genuine interest in supporting people with disabilities

Required Certifications 

• First Aid Certification 
• Working with Children Check 
• National Police Clearance 
• Driver's License
