Carers Victoria is a leading not-for-profit organisation, working to make sure that the almost one million unpaid carers across the state are understood, recognised and supported. We do this by providing information, advice and respite services to carers; by hosting education sessions and events to support them in their role; by gathering and analysing data and producing reports about carers and what they need; and by raising broad awareness of carers across the whole community. We are in a significant period of change, looking at how we can reach and support even more carers through innovative models, systems and thinking.

THE POSITION

An exciting new role has been created at Carers Victoria to help us grow our membership base. The core responsibilities of the role include:

  • Plan, develop and implement member acquisition strategies to exponentially increase our membership base.
  • Help us generate new ideas to reach out to potential members within the community.
  • Work closely with our marketing team to create compelling membership campaigns.
  • Communicate the benefits of Carers Victoria membership to potential members through outreach, presentations and community events.

THE PERSON

This exciting new opportunity will suit a self-motivated individual, who wants to make a difference. To be successful in this role you would have:

  • Proven expertise in membership acquisition, sales and or business development
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed targets e.g. membership and/or sales
  • Work across teams and organisational functions to achieve membership goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with the community
  • Strong networking skills using existing network and building new relationships
