Our Getaway centre in Labrador is an established facility with modern, high quality equipment. We offer clients the opportunity to have a short break with their friends and peers in the heart of the Gold Coast, with easy access to theme parks, beaches, shopping and restaurants.

We have multiple positions available for suitably qualified and/or experienced Direct Support Workers on a casual basis to provide 24 hour support and community access to customers during their stay at ‘Our Getaway’ centre located at Labrador on the Gold Coast.

These roles are available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical and personal care to customers.
• General light domestic duties.
• Assisting customers to attain their goals.
• Maintain customer progress notes.
• Communicate with supervisors and peers.
• Maintain customer and family confidentiality.
• Providing assistance on a casual basis.
• Availability to work across afternoons, nights and sleepovers.

Highly Regarded:

• Flexibility to work across afternoon/evening shifts including overnight shifts.

Key Requirements

• Minimum Cert III in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to meet the physical requirements of providing support as a Direct Support Worker.
• Highly motivated and caring individual.
• Current First Aid and CPR.
• This role requires a current working with children (blue card) and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• A current drivers’ license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and an understanding of the importance of professional boundaries and practice.
• Capacity to assist in all duties and be confident to do so autonomously.
• General computer skills
• A high level of energy & enthusiasm towards the work you do.
• Available for immediate start/ to commence at a short notice.

Vaccination against COVID-19 is a mandatory requirement for this role.
