The opportunity

You’ll be supporting an entrepreneurial growing business with big aspirations. Reporting to the ANZ General Manager with a dotted line report to the Global People Operations Senior Director, located in the USA, you will have the autonomy and responsibility to manage and influence the ANZ People & Culture development and direction.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Talent & performance management including driving the recruitment process
  • Coordinating the annual Compensation Review and bi annual Performance Reviews
  • Supporting Managers to address underperformance issues by advising and assisting on development and improvement plans
  • Owning and monitoring onboarding process for new staff members, supporting creation of onboarding documents and records for personnel files
  • Facilitating the annual Manager Training Program to all new and potential managers across the business
  • Managing the HRIS Paylocity overseeing fortnightly payroll is accurate, ensuring employee profiles are set up and updated for any changes, and liaising with the accounting team
  • Overseeing the People Operations budget and social programs such as Happiness Manager, quarterly events, employee gifts, and other social/team building events and celebrations
  • Administering the employee recognition program, arranging awards and prizes and obtain feedback from staff for continuous improvement and employee engagement and retention.

About you

You’re a capable HR generalist with a passion for people and the environment, creating impact to social and sustainable causes and supporting an organisations talent and culture growth.

You will also have:

  • Experience in a generalist HR role, including recruitment & performance management
  • Understanding of Australian and New Zealand employment standards and legislation, including basic payroll standards.
  • Experience in developing and deploying a variety of team engagement and retention programs
  • Utmost sensitivity to confidential information and the accurate recording of such data
  • Ability to navigate changing circumstances in a dynamic scale up environment
  • A demonstrated interest in sustainable/green business
