The Australian Centre for Career Education (ACCE) is seeking to appoint ICT Data Analyst to Victoria’s flagship career education program, My Career Insights. This is a government funded program in its fifth year of implementation. The ICT Data Analyst will be involved in deploying and supporting data solutions that reinforce the delivery of the program and provide meaningful and accurate data reports and insights to the program’s stakeholders.
The Role:
The role will involve development and support of data systems and reports to support staff, contractors, and other stakeholders’ data needs. The role will also assist in the development, deployment and support of system in the program.
Requirements:
Applicants must hold a tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Intelligence or related discipline. Applicants should be able to demonstrate previous work experiences in business or data analysis and have full working rights in Australia.
Employment Details:
- Salary: $90,000 plus superannuation (at current rate)
- Location: ACCE head office located in Greensborough, Victoria – flexible work arrangements may be negotiated
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM – variation to working hours may be requested from your manager
- Contract end date:12 months from commencement with potential for ongoing employment
Position Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the MCI Program Manager, the ICT Data Analyst will be required to:
- Develop and implement data collection systems and optimise efficiency and data quality.
- Exhibit competence in using Microsoft Power BI for data visualisation, creating dashboards and reports that provide insights and support decision making.
- Use Database and program knowledge to perform queries as needed for data extraction and analysis.
- Create and implement automated reporting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions.
- Communicate complex data findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise business manner.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, ACCE’s managed service provider, and international tool partner to assess data requirements, produce financial modelling, document specifications, generate relevant materials and raise data-related development requirements.
- Identify trends and provide recommendations to improve processes and initiatives.
Other Position Responsibilities:
- Assist the ICT and Digital team in the support of organisation’s assets and users;
- Create documentation, training videos and other collateral for internal and external stakeholders;
- Monitor, support and enhance the organisation’s data systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, etc.);
- Other duties and projects as reasonably directed MCI Program Manager or ACCE CEO.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology field or business intelligence.
- Microsoft applications proficiency: Power BI, Excel, using Power platform tools, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure Synapse.
- Experience in analysing data to recognise patterns and relationships.
- Able to elicit, analyse, specify, document, and validate the business data needs of stakeholders.
- Experience in creating reports to monitor data and track progress.
- A history of leveraging experience to build data models - data cleaning, data modelling, statistical analysis and data visualisation.
- Expertise in data modelling, SQL, DAX, M Query, and Power BI.
- Experience with Azure Data factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric.
