The Opportunity

CARE Australia (part of CARE International) is an international aid organisation working to defeat global poverty by supporting women to create lasting change in their communities around the world.

In this role as Climate and Partnerships Lead, you will be CARE Australia’s primary specialist lead and technical resource on Climate Change. The Lead is responsible for the provision or facilitation of climate change technical support to country offices and partners, ensuring a GEDSI and MEAL lens and brokering key technical and strategic partnerships.

To secure this opportunity you will ideally have:

  • Experience delivering high quality technical advice to colleagues and partners in climate change adaptation, mitigation and preparedness.
  • Experience in brokering partnerships and developing networks with research institutions, private sector, government, not for profit, allies and networks and communities.
  • Strong familiarity with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs as a project donor, compliance and reporting, and environmental policies.
