Caraniche has been delivering innovative psychological and behavioural health services for 30 years, partnering with government, community, and private organisations across Australia to deliver positive client outcomes. Through our recent partnership with the WISE Employment Group, Caraniche is a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting people with AOD and mental health issues through collaborative and supportive service delivery. We are a diverse and inclusive culture which transcends to our clients, community and staff by honouring our commitment and values.
We are currently seeking a full-time Program Support Officer to oversight the administration and coordination of community group treatment programs within Caraniche's Social Justice Services (SJS) team, based in Abbotsford.
This full-time role (or part-time job shared) involves the coordination, administration and program planning for group programs delivered by Social Justice Services, predominantly to offenders within the community (i.e., Kickstart and Choices). The role also involves service reporting requirements and regular communication with Community Corrections staff and other key stakeholders, including clients. The role is ideal for a professional looking for a challenging and dynamic role with a combination of administration, reporting, clinical support and communication tasks.
The Social Justice Services Abbotsford team has a range of clinicians who provide group and individual AOD treatment to primarily forensic clients, funded by the Department of Health. This treatment includes providing counselling to offenders with AOD issues who are mandated to attend treatment as part of their Corrections order, AOD Assessment and care co-ordination, and delivering the Kickstart and Choices group programs.
Working as part of the Social Justice Services Abbotsford team and reporting to the Team leader, the Program Support Officer will work collaboratively with the Team leader to organise program delivery schedules, provide administration and program planning support such as wait list management, communicate regularly with key stakeholders such as Community Corrections, referring agencies and clients, and undertake service reporting tasks as required.
Caraniche has a culture of belonging and we value differences. We are an organisation that welcomes and appreciates everyone for who they are as we embrace diverse backgrounds, experiences, gender identities, ability and thinking.
