Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Associate Director - Clinical Services to oversee, develop and implement the clinical services at Capability Support. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services, managing staff recruitment, and developing appropriate clinical frameworks. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of clinical frameworks, competencies and practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. There will be a component of direct client work whilst your team grows.
This role is identified as a Key Management Personnel at Capability Support and will be bound to the Key Management Personnel Policy. Key Management Personnel are defined as roles within the organisation that have significant authority and responsibility, such as Directors, Executives and Senior Management.
Responsibilities:
As the Associate Director for Clinical Services, you'll have the oversight and responsibility for the Clinical Services at Capability, you'll report directly to the Managing Director and Board of Directors, and collaborate with other Key Management Personnel to develop frameworks and plans, and, deliver on quality assurance and service outcomes for our Clients.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for all clinical services within Capability Support.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and policies.
- Develop and implement clinical frameworks that promote best practice in Capability's Clinical Services.
- Lead the recruitment process for clinical staff members in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Mentor and support a team of clinicians by providing supervision, guidance and mentoring.
- Monitor performance indicators related to quality assurance and service outcomes.
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure seamless support for clients.
- Conduct regular audits to assess adherence to clinical protocols.
- Foster a positive work culture that encourages professional development among staff members.
- Manage budgets allocated for clinical services while ensuring cost-effective practices.
Skills:
To be successful in the Associate Director - Clinical Services role, you'll need to have:
- Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in managing teams effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of Clinical practices including Positive Behaviour Support principles.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience and knowledge of the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Framework.
- Experience and knowledge of the OOHC Statutory Care System.
- Proficiency in developing appropriate resources and frameworks for Clinical Teams.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in managing contracts and relationships.
- Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using computer systems relevant to managing electronic health records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a Clinical qualification or a related field (e.g. Psychology, Counselling).
- Current registration with the relevant professional body (AHPRA or otherwise).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the industry.
- Registration under NDIS as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Proficient or above).
- Proven experience in managing clinical services and staff recruitment.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to Clinical practices including, but not limited to, development of appropriate resources and frameworks for Clinical teams.
