The Capital Health Network (CHN) Workforce Planning and Prioritisation (WPP) team provide advice on General Practice workforce needs and training capacity to the Department of Health and Aged Care to inform the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) distribution targets. The AGPT is a government-funded, postgraduate training program for medical practitioners wishing to pursue a career as a GP in Australia. CHN is the lead organisation of a consortium of the eleven ACT/NSW Primary Health Networks.
The part-time Program Support Officer will contribute to the WPP Program by coordinating program governance activities and providing high level administrative assistance. This role will proactively support the WPP Program by coordinating steering group meetings, network meetings, and by maintaining governance documentation and administration.
You will play a key role in supporting the WPP team with its substantial governance requirements and multiple stakeholders. Your strong administration and communication skills will be central to the success of the WPP team, whose role it is to make recommendations about GP training locations in ACT and NSW. This will support a responsive and flexible approach to delivery of current and future GP workforce that is required to meet the evolving health needs of our communities.
While you will work within the WPP team, by working at an innovative organisation, you will also have the opportunity contribute to process improvement and broader CHN projects and initiatives.
This position has been designed so you can successfully perform part of your role from the comfort of your home office if desired, and part or all your work time from our newly renovated corporate Deakin office in Canberra.
