As the peak body, Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Association ACT (ATODA) through its collaborative leadership influences positive outcomes in policy, practice and research, and continues to build on its vision of a healthy, well and safe ACT community with the lowest possible levels of alcohol, tobacco and other drug related harms.

This is your opportunity to play a leading representative and influencing role for this important sector with government, policy and funding decision-makers; facilitating and supporting it to identify, develop and implement key initiatives with sufficient funding to meet community need, across prevention, early intervention, harm reduction, treatment, peer services and continuing care.

You will work across the ATOD sector and the broader ACT Community to deliver on ATODA’s strategic priorities of promoting non-stigmatising and non-discriminatory language, policies, practice and research; strengthening the development, influence and capacity of specialist alcohol, tobacco and other drug services; facilitating and enhancing participation and collaborations. You will be focused on building sector capacity including working to ensure it has a highly skilled workforce to enable delivery of quality services that improve health and reduce drug related harms, supported by evidence-informed practice and innovation.

To be successful in this role you will be a proven executive leader who is known for your commitment to equity and social justice and have strong values aligned to the mission and purpose of ATODA, with the networking and communication skills to build effective partnerships across the sector and broader community. Leading a valued team, you will have the demonstrated capacity and experience to deliver against key objectives as well as achieving operational excellence through strategic leadership including financial and business stewardship.
