The Role
As Digital Fundraising Manager you will be responsible for working on digital peer to peer campaigns across platforms including Facebook and Tiltify. This role will lead the national Digital Fundraising strategy and execute a sustainable income stream with year-on-year growth.
Area 1: Strategic Development
- Develop strategic and operational plans for campaigns, ensuring sustainable growth year on year.
- Ensure effective communication of the strategy and operations across the organisation to gain engagement of the agreed deliverables.
- When necessary, adapt and evolve plans to ensure targets are achieved and opportunities for growth are maximised.
- Play a key role in driving forward new campaign initiatives, continuous innovation, and campaign improvements, bringing innovative ideas and a fresh outlook to the table. What does better look like?
Area 2: Staff Management and Engagement
- Manage, support, and develop direct reports by ensuring the vision is set, objectives are clear, operational plans are realised, and income and other set targets are achieved.
- Provide strong leadership and people management to ensure a high performing team.
- Help to lead and inspire a culture to embed mutualism across the Canteen system. Build, motivate and develop a culture where there is unbridled commitment to help colleagues and the mission thrive.
Area 3: Relationship Management
- Responsible for leading Canteen staff across National and State teams, in the activation of each campaign’s strategic direction, ensuring communication, engagement and where relevant, specifically contributing towards the campaign’s overall success, developing pride in fundraising across the business.
- Responsibility for ensuring Canteen has excellent relationships with appropriate external stakeholders to ensure optimal outcomes for Canteen.
Area 4: Project Management
- Responsible for the overall project management and execution of the Digital Fundraising portfolio.
- Manage and oversee all Digital Fundraising portfolio KPIs, including operating within budget and achieving income targets.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of all aspects of the Digital Fundraising marketing plans and supporter journeys.
- Develop, deliver, refine, and constantly improve Canteen’s best practice Digital P2P Fundraising model, frameworks, and workflows for delivery nationally.
Area 5 & 6: Budget Management, Financial Accountability, Analysis & Reporting
- Responsible for setting and forecasting income and expenditure budgets for all Digital Fundraising activities.
- Responsible for the ongoing management and reporting of income and expenditure budgets.
- Monitor and report on progress and performance against budget monthly, or as required, making recommendations and refinements as required to ensure set targets are met.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Fundraising role.
- Demonstrated experience managing large scale digital peer-to-peer campaigns.
- Experience working across digital fundraising platforms such as Facebook and Tiltify highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in campaign strategy development and execution.
- Proven experience in operational delivery of fundraising campaigns or events including campaign management, marketing plans, partnership negotiation, and reporting.
- Proven experience in supporter journey mapping – strategy and implementation.
- Demonstrated experience working with platforms such as Funraisin, Campaign Monitor and Salesforce.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in digital marketing highly desirable.
- Strong organisational/project planning and time management skills.
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively with regard to recreation and other program activities.
- Strong communication and networking skills.
- Proven ability to facilitate groups and relate to young people and their needs.
- Ability to use initiative and translate problems and creative ideas into solutions.
- An engaging speaker/presenter to promote Canteen services and build relationships quickly and easily.
- Results orientated – committed to achieving targets.
- Desire to stay up to date of the fundraising industry trends, upskilling when required and willingness to implement learnings into own work.
Nature of Work
- Remuneration: $95,000 - $110,000
- Location: Sydney, New South Wales - flexible working arrangements
- Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Hours of Work: 5 days / 37.5 hours per week
*Due to the nature of Canteen’s work, you will be required to (very) occasionally work weekends and evenings. Advance notice will be given when this is the case, and Canteen does have a Time off in Lieu policy for taking leave as agreed with the supervising manager.
