About Candella and our board

Candella Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation providing recovery-oriented mental health services within the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Candella launched in October 2018 and has since grown to over 200 employees providing services to more than 900 people in Melbourne.

The Board consists of a Chair, 4 Non-Executive Directors and CEO. The Board meets 8 times a year. Members participate in at least one Board sub-committee which meet quarterly.

We are seeking a Non-Executive Director to join our board and complement existing board member skill sets. We are specifically seeking Non-Executive Director with Not-for-profit finance governance experience.

About the role

As a non-executive director, you will provide governance, influence strategy, and evaluate performance of Candella. You will use your finance governance experience gained in community, mental health and/or disability settings to:

• Provide a constructive and critical analysis of board matters and decision making
• Provide executive expertise to strategy, risk, governance, and culture
• Contribute to oversight of Candella’s financial performance and ensure sound fiscal management
