The Cairnmillar Institute is seeking to appoint a Human Resources Officer to join our growing team. This role provides generalist HR support while also driving improvements to our people systems and processes. A key focus will be enhancing recruitment, selection, contracts, and onboarding workflows, with close collaboration with the payroll team to ensure a smooth and integrated experience for new staff.

The successful candidate will be a motivated HR professional with a passion for digital optimisation and people-centred practice. You will contribute across the employee lifecycle, support compliance, and champion process enhancements through our Employment Hero HRIS platform.

The successful candidate will have:

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or relevant discipline
• Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role
• Knowledge of Fair Work Act, NES, and modern awards
• High digital literacy and proficiency with HR systems
• Experience coordinating recruitment, drafting contracts, and supporting onboarding
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and autonomously manage priorities
