Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage BWHC's operations with a commitment to feminist principles, focusing on community-driven, inclusive programs that prioritise social justice and equity.
- Develop and deliver programs that are accessible, intersectional, and responsive to the needs of women and marginalised groups.
- Foster a culture of empowerment, working with clients and stakeholders to ensure that services are grounded in respect for autonomy, choice, and dignity.
- Champion a commitment to anti-racism and inclusion across all programming and operations.
- Lead efforts in grant writing, with a focus on securing resources that support programs grounded in feminist values of equity and social change.
- Develop and manage BWHC's online presence to engage, educate, and empower the community.
About you:
- Proven experience in operations management with a strong focus on program development, community engagement, and feminist principles.
- Passion for social justice, equity, and empowerment, with a demonstrated understanding of gender inequality and the need for inclusive services.
- Skilled in grant writing and securing funding for feminist programs that challenge and transform systems of oppression.
- Experience in leading and supporting teams, with the ability to mentor and empower staff to thrive in a collaborative, feminist workplace.
- Knowledge of digital communications and social media to engage and advocate for women’s health and rights.
- A deep commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of all women and marginalised communities.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in management, social work, community development, public health, or a related field.
- Significant experience in program development, management, and community engagement, preferably in a women’s health or social services context.
- Proven experience in grant writing and securing funding.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of feminist principles, social justice, and equity.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Experience in digital communications and social media.
