About Us

BLCAC is the Registered Aboriginal Party (RAP) for the Bunurong people of the South-Eastern Kulin Nation. Our work champions the protection of culture, land, and community across Greater Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula and the Bass Coast. We are a values-driven organisation with a proud connection to Country and a deep commitment to community.

About the Role

As our Executive Assistant, you’ll be a trusted partner to the CEO and an essential link to the Board. You will help ensure the flow of communication, manage executive functions, and maintain structure behind the scenes. You will need to bring warmth, resilience, and professionalism.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating diaries, meetings and logistics for the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Preparing professional documents—agendas, minutes, correspondence and reports.
  • Providing confidential executive and project support to senior leaders.
  • Supporting board governance processes and liaising across internal teams and external partners.
  • Managing travel arrangements, onboarding, financial admin, and other key operational tasks.
  • Assisting with reporting, data tracking, and internal systems to keep things running efficiently.

Who We are Looking For:

You will be a strong communicator who’s comfortable working with senior leaders and navigating sensitive matters with discretion and cultural respect. You are someone who is adaptable, self-motivated, and brings a calm, solutions-focused approach to busy days.

You will have:

  • Experience supporting executives and working with boards or governance bodies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital admin tools
  • Cultural understanding and respect for working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities

Formal qualifications in administration or a related field are welcomed but not essential if your experience demonstrates the right capability and mindset.

Why Join BLCAC?

  • Flexible working arrangements – We support balance and wellbeing
  • Great team environment – Collaborative, respectful, culturally grounded
