Your Next Opportunity:

Reporting to our Group General Manager we are seeking an experienced CSR Manager to join our team. This individual will fulfil a diverse role and have expertise in environment, Indigenous engagement and participation, and modern slavery. Specifically, your remit will be to build on our current platform, which is in its infancy.

With a proactive, problem-solving mindset the role will elevate the capability of the business across CSR.

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for:

Environmental:

  • Measuring and reporting on carbon emissions
  • Establish, communicate and report on a carbon abatement plan
  • Drive standardised tender responses
  • Create awareness through the design and delivery of employee and sub-contractor awareness training for our emissions reduction strategy

Indigenous Participation and Engagement:

  • Guide and facilitate RAP initiatives (Reflect)
  • Create and embed an Indigenous Opportunity and Participation Plan across bid strategy and implementation and measurement
  • Manage relationships with Supply Nation and state Reconciliation organisations
  • Foster and manage Indigenous subcontractor relationships
  • Work with HR on Indigenous employee recruitment
  • Develop and deliver employee and subcontractor cultural awareness training
  • Capture and manage data relating to Indigenous spend, employment and training

Modern Slavery:

  • Create the annual modern slavery business plan and manage the Working Group
  • Produce our annual modern slavery statement and other communications, including standardised tender responses
  • Drive employee training and awareness
  • Capture supply chain analytics to support compliance and reporting requirements

About You:

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in equivalent roles (5 years +)
  • The nous to navigate multiple stakeholders
  • The polish and interpersonal savvy to represent Buildcorp
  • The intellect to tap into existing metrics and create new metrics
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • An ability to train and clearly communicate with internal and external partners
  • A team-first mindset, ready to provide support as and where it is needed most
  • A working knowledge in data capture across CSR initiatives
