We’re looking for a professional Stakeholder Engagement Consultant with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a Maximum term full-time until basis 30 June 2023, working 38 hours per week based in Shepparton.

THE ROLE

This role will focus on networking and developing relationships with employers, community partners and services to create and facilitate sustainable employment opportunities for a diverse range of disadvantaged jobseekers.

Supporting a partnership approach to stakeholder engagement, this role will be part of the WLC team, and it will ensure targets and KPI’s are met for a range of activities and projects under the Work and Learning Centre program. 

  • In collaboration with the Team Leader, engage with employer and community stakeholders to create employment opportunities which effectively meet the needs of jobseekers, businesses, and the local community
  • Provide communications and stakeholder engagement expertise to the WLC team to ensure we keep our communities informed and engaged
  • Develop new partnership opportunities and actively seek referrals into the centre through establishing new relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Network and collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to create referral pathways and engagement opportunities for WLC job seekers and, those job seekers living in local public housing
  • Undertake approved reverse marketing activities with businesses and organisations to place job seekers into employment and education opportunities
  • Identify, screen, shortlist and interview suitable candidates for positions and develop activities and training resources to improve job readiness capabilities

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: business development, recruitment, community engagement, case management and/or tailored employment support programs
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate and persuasively engage with a wide range of people, including participants, employers, community organisations, and people from a range of backgrounds 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and coordinating employment opportunities for disadvantaged job seekers
  • Experience in the field of Social Housing (Public and/or Community Housing) beneficial, but not essential.
  • Well-developed written communication skills and the proven ability to develop and deliver training, presentations, information sessions and produce accurate reports for a range of audiences
