The Brotherhood of St Laurence Banksia Centre has vacancies for Enrolled Nurses for casual shifts weekday and weekend evening and nights. You will be experienced in providing quality clinical care, including medication administration and assisting with social activities.

The Brotherhood of St Laurence Banksia Centre is a community-based centre providing overnight respite and a range of day respite programs for people living in the community with varying stages of Dementia.

Essential skills and experience

  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) with medication endorsement
  • Demonstrated knowledge and nursing experience in the provision of aged care, preferably in residential and/or community setting.
  • Experience working with dementia patients, medications and wound management
  • Excellent communication skills to build and maintain working relationships with clients, families and team members
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a supportive team with a ‘one team’ approach
  • Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood

These are casual positions. 

Applicants must disclose if they are currently working at another Community or Residential or Aged Care facility. There are current government directed guidelines that restrict Aged Care workers from working with more than one provider.

Salary:  $27.55 – $31.43 per hour plus 25% casual loading plus superannuation.
