Brigid Justice seeks a paralegal or graduate lawyer, ideally with private law firm experience and with an interest in family law. Suited to someone able to work well remotely, who is accurate, learns quickly, and seeks help when needed.

All our matters involve allegations of abuse, most are litigated and complex, and property pools range from under $500k to over $10 million. Our work makes a massive difference to women in achieving justice and rebuilding their lives after abuse.

A business, accounting, science or social science background, and ability to use Excel are a distinct advantage.

Reasonable KPIs of 4.5 hours/day, extensive career development - and if you remain with us as a solicitor we will pay your PLT fees (subject to performance).

Responsibilities

• Drafting legal documents – primarily family law;
• Matter administration;
• Support solicitors - including in their court appearances;
• Contribute to Brigid Justice’s practice, processes and systems;
• Other relevant work as directed.

Essential:

• Demonstrated ability to draft accurate documents and conduct legal research;
• Demonstrated abilities to follow written instructions, provide attention to detail, ask for help when needed, and exercise initiative;
• Ability to work remotely;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
