Bridge Housing is an award-winning Tier 1 Community Housing Provider. We source and develop social and affordable housing for people on low to moderate incomes. We manage over 3,400 properties and support more than 5,000 residents. Most importantly…
Testament to the emphasis Bridge Housing places on culture and wellbeing, we have been awarded 'Best Workplace' for three consecutive years by the Voice Project and have been recognised as an 'Inclusive Employer' for two consecutive years by the Diversity Council Australia.
We have also developed an encompassing total rewards package for employees which includes: study assistance and study leave, team building, monthly massages, reflexology, flexi leave up to 12 days per year, training and development, gifted leave - including a day off for your birthday!
We have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Housing Manager in our Central Office (Goulburn Street). This role will be a Floating Housing Manager primarily responsible for covering other Housing Managers' portfolios during high volume periods or periods of leave. Like all Housing Managers, you will focus on delivering an exceptional customer service to all tenants to truly improve their lives through the delivery of quality housing services. You will utilise proactive tenancy management to sustain your tenants in their tenancies and work with our support providers to ensure their holistic care and improvements to the communities you work with. However, you will excel at working under pressure and being adaptable, thriving off of the diversity of working across locations and portfolios.
Our Housing Managers are expected to partake in at least one day per week on site visits, working directly with the people in your portfolio.
Our Housing Managers come from diverse backgrounds, including Real Estate, Social Housing and Charities, Social Work and even the support providers we have worked with! They will have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent relevant work experience and transferable skills. Most importantly, the right person will be values-driven and passionate about the work we do.
You will be an excellent communicator, able to build rapport with a diverse range of people and sustain strong relationships. You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and enjoy the adherence required of a regulated and policy-driven industry. There is a large amount of system work and administration within the role, so you will be confident in Microsoft products like Excel and Outlook, and if you have experience in housing/tenancy management systems it'll be an added bonus!
You will also need a current Driving License in order to go on those weekly site visits!
If you have any knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act (2020), or experience representing at the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) that is advantageous!
The Housing Manager role is classified as a Level 4 within the Social Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. The salary for the role is $81,590- $87,788 + Super (10.5%) + Salary Packaging (up to $15,900 p.a.).
You need to attach an updated resume and a cover letter which addresses the following:
