Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Housing Services Coordinator to deliver the full range of housing services of the highest quality, including ensuring all aspects of rental tenancy agreements are upheld and to contribute to the overall goal of providing secure affordable rental housing for people on low to moderate incomes.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing leases and signing up new residents when required
• Conducting post allocation visits to all new tenant
• Implement wellbeing measures with residents
• Inspecting premises
• Managing rent and water arrears to exceed the National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH) benchmark
• Attend tribunal hearings at the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT)
• Working with the Finance Team to complete annual NRAS reporting
• Assisting the Allocations Coordinator to minimise over and under occupancy
• Working with the Allocations Coordinator and the assets team to manage vacancies
• Conducting out-going property condition reports
• Complying with all legal obligations, government regulations and policies, reporting as well as WH&S management.
• To work collaboratively with a range of positions in the organisation to deliver the highest quality housing services.
• Other duties as directed by the Head of Housing Services.

Essential Skills/Experience:

To be considered, you will need to meet the following requirements:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Sound knowledge of Residential Tenancies Act and good understanding of social housing programs
• Cert IV in community services or related field is desirable
• Experience in Tribunal hearings
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Able to provide appropriate information to tenants in plain English.
• High standard of both written and verbal communication.
• A current NSW driver's license
