Counsellor Wanted – Family & Friends Support Group.

Are you passionate about making a difference? The BPD Community is on the lookout for a dynamic Counsellor to lead our Family and Friends Support Group, specialising in DBT Techniques for Borderline Personality Disorder.

We are looking for someone who can initially work with us for around 5-10 hours per month however we foresee that with increasing demand this could increase.

About the Role:

As a Casual Counsellor, you'll play a pivotal role in creating a supportive and educational space through DBT techniques. Your mission is to empower families and friends dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and provide triaging services
  • Lead engaging support group sessions
  • Teach DBT techniques tailored for the group context
  • Contribute to program development and stay updated on therapeutic approaches

About You:

  • Master’s degree in Counselling or Psychology preferred
  • Experience in facilitating support groups for Borderline Personality Disorder
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of DBT principles
