Established 10 years ago, Body Safety Australia runs several programs to enable children to benefit from violence-free childhoods and enjoy equitable and respectful relationships. Body Safety Australia takes a whole-of-community approach so that children are supported at home, at school and online, placing responsibility for protection on the adults who care for them.

The Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in keeping all back-office functions working smoothy, effectively and efficiently so that our educators and others out in the field can work at their best and our program participants enjoy quality programs and outcomes. In this role, you assist the Operations Manager to deliver finance, human resources and administrative functions to keep the organisation humming along. You will also work closely with the CEO on governance matters, external relations and funding.

This is a fixed-term part-time position with a view to professionally develop and an opportunity to progress into the role of Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be required to work from the office in North Melbourne, with access to work-from-home and flexible work arrangements once successfully passing probation.

This is an ideal role for you if:

  • You are highly organised and can keep track of multiple stakeholders, activities and projects – being efficient comes naturally to you!
  • Your interpersonal skills enable you to effectively liaise with program sponsors, staff, contractors and suppliers.
  • You have strong ICT skills, are reasonably numerate and have good business writing skills.
  • You are well-versed in best practice and legislation regarding Australian Industrial Relations.
  • You have at last three years’ experience in a similar role.
  • You have a commitment to child protection and can demonstrate personal commitment to Body Safety Australia’s values.
