About the role
- This is a casual position with shifts available TBC
- The person we support would like to meet people who are friendly, funny, kind and caring
- Preference for a person who does not smoke or vape
- You will work as part of a team bringing experience of disability and psychosocial support. The role includes providing assistance with day to day living, some personal care, administrative tasks and cooking.
- You will support the participant to explore and engage in community based activities based on their preferences and interests.
- In this role, you will engage regularly with a range of stakeholders including family, health professionals and other support staff. You will be rostered to participate in regular team meetings, training and reflective practice.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate daily records including the completion of incident reports is an essential component of this program. Strong English language skills (written and verbal) are essential.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Willingness to assist with personal care tasks
- Right to work in Australia
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
(must be cleared before commencement)
- Level 2 First Aid and CPR
(first aid within last 3 years, CPR within 12 months)
- Basic computer skills
- Strong English language skills, written and verbal
- Unrestricted drivers licence
- A reliable, insured vehicle
- Internet enabled mobile device
(access to staff portal, e-training, rosters, electronic timesheet, other documentation)
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation module
Desirable
- Prior experience of disability, including Autism
- Prior mental health experience
- Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, Mental Health or similar
