Here at Beyond Essential Systems (BES) we make awesome technology and put it to good use in the world. Our aim is to improve decision making in low resource settings by providing meaningful data that results in well informed decisions, and better outcomes for individuals.
Our services and products have impact across health, education, supply chain and disaster management, and we are proud to be able to provide innovative and collaborative solutions, while working closely with local partners in the Asia / Pacific region.
Our team is growing! As a Project Manager in the BES team, you’ll be working on projects that directly impact our overall mission. Our software suite includes Tupaia and Tamanu (an electronic medical record system designed specifically for the Pacific) and we also implement and support mSupply and DHIS2 systems.
Currently, our team is advancing our software to support the COVID-19 response for vulnerable populations in the Pacific, in particular vaccine registration, lab test results management with a patient portal, and mapping of medical supplies.
This Project Manager role includes a substantial amount of in-country travel, particularly within the Pacific region.
The job is likely to involve approximately 75% travel outside Australia with first travel to commence after on-boarding.
You’ll have a real connection with our purpose and will be looking for a role where your work has a meaningful influence and impact on the lives of others. You’ll be a natural collaborator with initiative and drive.
Ideally, you’ll have experience in:
Having familiarity with data management or work experience in the Pacific would also be an advantage (but not required).
Where do we start! As well as being part of key projects and having meaningful work, we also offer:
Right now, we are using a mix of remote and office work, with teams having a nominated office day once a week and the rest is up to you! The office is on Nicholson St in Brunswick East - close to Lygon Street with its Cafés, restaurants and bars - and there is a big park just behind our building.
We would especially encourage you to apply if you are from a community that’s underrepresented in the technology or aid industry.
