About the role

Overseeing all projects within the Business Improvement Program, the Program Delivery Manager is responsible for planning and sequencing projects and managing program / portfolio level stakeholder engagement.

The role also manages and develops a team of Business Analysts, Project Managers and Change Managers, supervising overall staff performance and developing team cohesion and continuous improvement. The Program Delivery Manager is also responsible for developing and refining project management methods, metrics and reporting standards.

The IT Program Delivery Manager role is offered on a full-time, two-year fixed term contract.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing program level governance, facilitating project prioritisation with stakeholders whilst delivering within the agreed scope, time and budget.
  • Overseeing program/project management processes for the Program to ensure that the Program adheres to Beyond Blue’s project management and procurement process standards.
  • Managing and supporting the resolution of program issues, serving as escalation point for project issues that may arise.
  • Preparing and managing the overall budget, schedule and plan for the Business Improvement program.
  • Developing and refining program level reporting to stakeholder needs and providing status updates to stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Planning the resource assignments within the BI team to support the program and project demands and development objectives

The successful candidate will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in either Business, Information Technology or equivalent discipline
  • A formal Project Management qualification / certification (e.g. PMP from PMI).
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in program / project management, including managing organisation-wide transformation projects.
  • Relevant people management and development experience.

Change management, production of program documentation, status reporting and financial management experience are also essential. The successful applicant will have exceptional communication skills, able to manage stakeholders at all levels and possess well-developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
