about the role

The Senior Advisor Data Governance will be responsible for the implementation of enterprise data governance based on DAMA-DMBOK framework and improving culture and awareness across the organisation. They will work closely with the Technology team, Legal, business stakeholders and vendors to improve maturity in data governance which includes working with stakeholders to drive the implementation of the data governance framework and recommendations in a timely manner and ensuring compliance with relevant legislations.

Further the role will be required to advise and consult on enterprise-wide data governance, protection of organisation information and contribute to better data governance practices, data architecture standards and data quality standards.

This role is linked to the core goals of Understanding and Integrity within Beyond Blues 2023+ strategy.

about you

The successful incumbent will have:

  • Experience in working with business stakeholders to mature organisational data governance practices
  • Well-rounded communication skills to engage with business and collaborate to drive DMBOK data governance pillars
  • Ability to think strategically as well as tactically to support over all data management practices.

The appointee will be Tertiary qualified in either data science, information systems, computer science, computer engineering or information security with a minimum of three to five years’ experience in a data governance, data architect or data project’s role. Your exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments will be underpinned by your ability to communicate complex information to non-experts.
