As the Gift in Wills Relationships Lead, you’ll drive acquisition, engagement, and retention of bequestors while managing estate liaison with care and precision. You’ll develop and implement a long-term strategy that nurtures donor relationships, guiding supporters through their journey from interest to commitment.

This dynamic role blends acquisition, pipeline conversion, relationship cultivation, and estate management. You'll also contribute to the Fundraising and Development Strategy 2023-28, helping achieve key milestones, financial targets for gifts in wills and ensuring Beyond Blue continues to deliver impact.

The role

As the Gift in Wills Relationships Lead, you will:

• Engage and grow the Gift in Wills program by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing prospective supporters.
• Lead acquisition strategies using evidence-based insights, ensuring effective donor journeys.
• Build strong relationships with bequestors, executors, legal professionals, and family members, providing thoughtful stewardship.
• Manage Estate administration with care and precision, ensuring a seamless process that honours donor legacies.
• Develop strategic campaigns that encourage giving and retention through multi-channel engagement.
• Use data and analytics to optimise program performance, drive continuous improvement, and report meaningful insights.
• Represent Beyond Blue at key donor events and ensure exceptional supporter experiences.
• Support the Fundraising and Development Strategy 2023-28, meeting financial goals and milestones for key initiatives.

About you

To be successful you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in fundraising, marketing, business development, communications, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in philanthropy, fundraising, or donor engagement.
• Strong knowledge of bequest giving and donor motivations within the Australian philanthropic landscape.
• Knowledge of legal requirements relating to gifts in wills and estate management in Australia.
• Exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to build trusted, respectful connections.
• Awareness, resilience, and empathy when engaging donors on sensitive topics.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with public speaking
• Financial acumen, including experience preparing reports and monitoring budgets against targets.
• Proficiency in donor management systems, with a solid understanding of CRM tools, data and segmentation (Salesforce an advantage).
