About the role

Beyond Blue is moving through a phase of significant business and digital transformation.

An experienced Digital Business Analyst (BA) with a strong agile and digital background is required to support the creation of new digital products, as well as the continual improvement of our digital product suite. The portfolio of projects is an exciting one and will directly benefit Beyond Blue in helping to support the Australian Community.

Where is the Role?

Beyond Blue HQ’s are in Melbourne’s CBD. However, it is considered a “Hub”, and has been specially designed to enable staff to work flexibly and dynamically. We welcome people working onsite from our beautiful CBD Hub, from home remotely, or in a hybrid combination. Whatever suits you and the work best.

What you will be doing

Most Beyond Blue projects are delivered using an Agile approach using tools including Jira, Confluence, Miro and Visio. Reporting to the Digital Lead, and working closely with a team of Digital Producers, UX and Product Managers, the BA will work collaboratively with internal partners (SME’s, IT, Content, Business Intelligence) to support the delivery of initiatives in all stages of the solution lifecycle from strategy documentation, requirements gathering, through initial solution sourcing and selection/RFPs, implementation and ongoing operation.

Tertiary qualified, the appointee will have several years’ recent experience in a role such as a Digital Business Analyst. Your ability to analyse and synthesise data and research to understand community needs, elicit requirements including proactively identify areas for improvement, present alternative solutions to problems driving decision making, and gather the resources required to undertake the resolution of issues will enable you to facilitate workshops and efficiently complete and present deliverables.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Business/System analyst experience working with business process change.
  • Experience with requirements documentation gathering, including writing user stories, acceptance criteria and journey maps.
  • Experience in developing test cases and managing test cycles based on business process/requirements.
  • Proven experience in planning, conducting and documenting the outcomes from data gathering employing elicitation techniques including facilitated workshops, meetings, document review and survey/questionnaires.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (both orally and in writing), comfortably engaging with a wide range of people at all levels.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Miro and Visio.
