The Role:

bestchance Child Family Care is currently seeking exceptional individuals with a positive and proactive approach to join our dedicated Children’s Therapy team as a Psychologist.

Reporting to the Team Manager – Children’s Therapy Services, your primary goal will be to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of allied health professionals, integrating the developmental and therapy needs of children ages 0-10 years with developmental delays or disabilities. All services are based on our guiding principles of practice: family-centred, strengths-based, natural-environments and evidence-based.

About you:

To be successful you will be a registered psychologist, with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in Paediatric Allied Health. You will be confident in supporting children with developmental delay or disability.

Crucial to your success will be your proven track record in supporting individuals in complex environments and your ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with stakeholders and families from a broad range of social and cultural backgrounds.

bestchance Child Family Care is an independent, not-for-profit community organisation which has been providing high quality support to children and families since 1895.

We have over 500 Staff Members and 50 Volunteers delivering a range of educational programs accredited under the Department of Education and Training. These programs include Early Childhood Learning and Development for children under the age of five and Primary Education for children with social/emotional and learning difficulties. These programs are complemented by a range of support services for parents and families such as Early Childhood Intervention and Family Support Services.
