Do you have a strong work ethic and values around social justice and inequality?
Do you hold a minimum 5 years’ experience working with children and young people in a counselling capacity?
Do you hold accreditation with professional bodies such as AASW (Australian Association for Social Workers), PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia)?
If so, you could be the person we are looking for to fill our new child & young people practitioner/counsellor role.
We are seeking a highly skilled individual committed to improving the lives of children and young people that have experienced domestic and family violence.
Beryl Women Inc. is the longest running women’s refuge in Australia. Beryl Women Inc. is a specialist Domestic violence service providing accommodation and support to women and children that have lived with domestic and family violence. We work within a feminist, trauma informed framework.
Beryl Women Inc. is looking forward to commencing our new Program “Child & Youth Safe & Strong Van Project.” This new and innovative program in the ACT will be providing specialised therapeutic support from our new kids and young people mobile van across the ACT to children and young people that have been impacted by domestic and family violence. This program is the first program of its type to be implemented in the ACT.
You will be assisting Beryl Women Inc. to address the high need for specialist services to children and young people that have been impacted by domestic violence and working to prevent the risk of further harm and violence to children and young people and improve outcomes for them and their families.
To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge and ability across the following areas.

Initial fixed-term 12-month opportunity
Full-time (part-time would be considered)
This role is from Monday to Friday 10-6pm due to after school hours. Flexible work arrangements can be discussed when applying.
Renumeration is per the ACT MEA at a Level 7.3.
