The Shepparton Education First Youth Foyer assists young people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness (aged between 16-24) to build sustainable lives. This is achieved through the provision of safe secure accommodation, mentoring and personal supports whilst they are engaged in study or training to prepare them to transition to independent living and employment.
The Transitions Youth Development Worker to coordinate the transition of young people in and out of the Education First Youth Program. You will be a support person for those entering and exiting the program (up to 12 months) as well as champion the Housing and Living Skills Offer to work with students to assess living skills.

We are looking for a Youth Development Worker who has a broad range of life experiences, skills and employment backgrounds who have a genuine interest in supporting young people to experience their community and make a contribution to the community.
A appropriate Diploma level or tertiary qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Services, Education or similar is desirable, however candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
