The Opportunity

The work of Berry Street’s People and Culture team is aligned with the strategic directions of Reimagine the Future, Make an Impact, Future Growth and Sustainability and Support our People. A key function of People and Culture is Talent Acquisition. Our people define Berry Street, so it is imperative that we seek and retain a bright, committed and diverse workforce.  

We are currently searching for a full time Talent Acquisition Partner to join our team through to 04 February 2022 on a parental leave contract. This role will be part of our Talent Acquisition team within our wider People and Culture department managing recruitment processes to fill internal vacancies organisation-wide.

This role will be mainly working from home due to our Richmond office relocating to a different Richmond site in late 2021, along with the current Covid-19 situation in Victoria. The successful applicant would need to have the ability to integrate into the team remotely, with potential face to face work in the future in line with the Victorian government restrictions lifting.

Key Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this role is to source, assess and select the best fit candidates using best practice Talent Acquisition techniques and strategies.

Coordinating and participating in recruitment processes, including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing and onboarding is the major part of this role. The Talent Acquisition Partner will be experienced at building strong relationships with hiring managers, understanding their individual teams needs and the requirements of each role, while being the primary contact for new and prospective employees to the organisation.

About You

You will hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent experience in HR or Talent Acquisition. Our perfect candidate will have experience in managing multiple internal stakeholders, have excellent teamwork skills and the flexibility to work autonomously on a portfolio.

You will have the ability to manage a high volume of recruitment which maintaining accuracy and attention to detail, and it would be advantageous to have experience working in recruitment for a not-for-profit organisation.
