The Opportunity

The Multi-Agency Support Team (MAST) is an entry point for Youth Support Services and Police Referrals covering the Ballarat local government area - designed to provide active and coordinated support for young people aged 10-17 at risk of becoming recidivist offenders.

The MAST model aims to provide an integrated and joined service response to the young person and their family in order to address the root causes of offending and to increase the protective factors for individuals, their family, in a service context and in the community.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Provide oversight, intensive case coordination to a target of 15 children and young people including their families and care teams
• Provide secondary consultation to the model supporters
• Closely monitor the projects objective in line with the project milestones and timelines 
• Represent MAST on a range of governance, alliance and stake holder forums. 

This role will be based at the Western Mount Helen office and may be asked to travel across the state at times to support the implementation of the model.

About You

You will have strong end to end project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks at a time. You will be a proven leader who is able to provide support and drive results.

You will also have a good grasp on the sector and demonstrated experience with young people who are disengaged and are within the youth justice system, and the ability to successfully support them to reach best outcomes for the young person.
