Come to Berry Street and be the driver of our combustion engine! We are currently on the lookout for a data guru to strategically manage our supporter database and oversee complex data analysis to generate insights from internal and external datasets.

As the Head of Data and Analytics you will have direct impact on Berry Street’s strategic, financial and operational performance through research, analysis and interpretation of results to significantly impact decision making. Working closely with other ‘Heads of’ Functions within the Strategic Engagement team and reporting to our Executive Director, Strategic Engagement, you will help identify, articulate and address key business questions to target the use of resources more effectively, leading to the provision of evidence-based recommendations to improve supporter engagement and maximise return on marketing investment.

Primary Objectives of the Role:

  • Develop and execute the strategy for Berry Street’s management of the supporter database.
  • Develop and implement practices, methodologies and approaches within the organisation to shift focus from “simple” reporting to that of business intelligence & data analytics, providing leadership in the establishment and delivery of analytical tools, practices and processes.
  • Lead the provision of evidence-based recommendations to improve supporter engagement and maximise return on marketing investment.
  • Provide analytical insight into Berry Street’s supporters, their connections and relationships with Berry Street.
  • Provide decision support tools and processes to support internal stakeholders in optimising supporter engagement and maximising use of resources.

A bit about the perfect candidate and the background we are wanting to find:

  • Experience in business system architecture and development aimed at managing relationships with customers/supporters.
  • Experience developing and building decision-making models and support tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement with the focus on collaboration through highly developed communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience in leading a team and working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Data Warehouse with preferred experience in a fundraising environment.
