Berry Street’s Post Separation Services (PSS) in the Hume Region offer a suite of services to support separated parents who are experiencing entrenched conflict. Funded by the Australian Federal Government Attourney General's Department the PSS offers an Educational program called Post Separation Co-Operative Parenting Program (PSCOP) and the Childrens Contact Service (CSS).
PSCOP key objective is to reduce parental conflict and assist parents to implement and manage cooperative parenting arrangements through the delivery of brief but impactful, psycho educational workshops.
The CCS aims to minimise a child's exposure to conflictual situations by assisting separated parents in managing contact arrangements through the provision of supervised visits and changeovers. The CCS supports families through a case support model.
This role will assist with the activities of the CCS ( Children's Contact Service) program supporting children and their family members during changeover or supervised visits and provide a safe and secure environment.
Provide holistic family support services to clients guiding them from intake to self-management during this time you will be developing transition plans, regular communication with community and legal services.
You will meet the families at the point of need and support parents to re-establish positive relationships with their child.
