The Opportunity

The Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) provides schools and community service organisations with the training, curriculum and strategies to engage students who struggle in the classroom—and proactively support all students for their learning and wellbeing. It is unique because the BSEM equips schools to promote cognitive and behavioural change, thereby engaging the young person in learning and progressing their academic achievement. The Berry Street Education Model is now being shared with mainstream and specialist schools.

The Business Development Consultant position is a key role supporting the BSEM through engaging and maintaining client relationships, along with contributing to the setting of sales and revenue targets and working diligently to meet them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies for business development to help the Berry Street Education Model to achieve sales targets in Western Australia (with potential to extent to other states and territories).
  • Identify potential clients in the education sectors and allied sectors.
  • To provide quotes, sell BSEM services and account management duties.
  • Develop and maintain client relationship and gain an understanding of their needs.
  • Play a key role between our training/consultation team, our commercial team, and support the development of relationships with schools in the assigned states.
  • Responsible for converting new enquiries and referrals to whole school accounts.
  • Working with State Leads to convert attendance at public courses to whole school accounts.
  • Create and run promotional events.
  • Continue to meet strategic targets by working with the State Leads and Senior Managers.
  • Frequent and regular over-night travel to meet clients.

About You

We are looking for a creative and motivated person who has a sound understanding of the Education sector, proven experience in developing and implementing business growth strategies and account management experience. You will have exceptional verbal and presentation skills, and have a high degree of initiative and a pro active approach. You will be a great collaborator and be excellent at creating and maintaining relationships.
