The Role

Those working in the Community Housing Sector are a group of commercially minded and service driven individuals who collectively and tenaciously work to deliver on Australia’s ambitious and much needed Housing target.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join the CWH, Housing Services Team on a maternity leave contract.

We are looking for a confident and experienced leader who would be eager to work with a highly knowledgeable, small team who make a HUGE impact on residents’ lives.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support and supervise the Housing Managers on all challenging and complex tenancy management matters, including NCAT applications and attendance at tribunal.
• Ensure day-to-day resident management processes and practices, including terminations and rent reviews, are undertaken in accordance with CWH policies and procedures.
• Ensure consistent and high-quality resident management services
• Manage customer complaints in accordance with policy and use feedback on service delivery to drive continuous improvement of services.
• Ensure home visits and end of tenancy property inspections are scheduled, undertaken and documented and any damage or tenancy issues identified are handled in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Monitor and manage rent and non-rental income and arrears, ensuring minimal loss of income to CWH.

Essential Requirements:

• A degree level qualification and/or significant relevant experience in a people management role.
• Experience in people management and leading, developing and managing small teams to enhance service delivery.

• Experience in community housing, social housing or private real estate/property management desired however not essential.
• Able to manage competing demands and rapidly adjust to change, delay or unexpected events.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Valid NSW Drivers Licence desirable.
