The ANZPAC Plastics Pact (ANZPAC) is a collaborative solution that brings together key players behind a shared vision of a circular economy for plastic, where plastic never becomes waste or pollution. ANZPAC is the 1st Oceania region to become a part of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s global Plastics Pact network.

About the Role

APCO is looking for an experienced Program Manager with a passion and understanding of packaging, sustainability, waste and or plastics to manage the ANZPAC Program.

You will be responsible for managing a small team whilst overseeing and ensuring the smooth delivery of the program. You will provide support to and manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders within the program. You will develop and manage program activities and initiatives, such as scheduling, compliance, managing tasks, and risk management analysis.

About the Person

As the ANZPAC Program Manager, you will have proven experience in leading, managing and developing a team, as well as a strong ability to lead projects and be highly detail-oriented and organised in delivering projects and events.

You will have strong planning, organisational, and time management skills with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

A proven background in successfully managing a Sustainability Program is essential. You will have a collaborative work style, be a proactive problem solving and have the ability to engage as an active team participant.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

  • Plan, develop and deliver the ANZPAC program activities, initiatives, and projects
  • Manage operations and activities efficiently to ensure they align with the ANZPAC Program targets and KPIs
  • Develop program structures and partnerships to meet key program objectives
  • Coordination and management of the ANZPAC working groups
  • Assisting in the development of new procedures and processes
  • Coordination and delivery of ANZPAC focused events across the region
  • The primary point of contact for all administrative ANZPAC Program assets and resources
  • Supervision and delegation of work to the ANZPAC Program team
  • Reporting and analysis of ANZPAC data to identify trends and inform future planning
  • Manage the development of ANZPAC guidance materials/resources

To be successful you will have:

  • Proven end-to-end project management experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in sustainability, environment, or similar related fields
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Resilience to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Leadership experience overseeing multiple programs, with a sustainability focus
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of program planning, organisational structure, budgeting, and operations
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
