Are you a confident and capable HR professional ready to contribute to a dynamic and growing organisation? Our client ACE Community Colleges are looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Coordinator to join the Business Operations team and support a broad range of HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review fortnightly payroll in collaboration with an external payroll processing provider, manage staff leave submissions, ensure timely superannuation payments, and resolve payroll-related queries and invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain and update contract templates to meet current compliance standards, prepare and issue annual staff contracts, and draft variation letters for changes to employment terms.
- Coordinate the ordering and distribution of staff uniforms, name badges, and business cards, and manage related onboarding materials.
- Schedule and track professional development activities, maintain WWCC and milestone registers, and support the ongoing review and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Upload professional development records to Employment Hero, maintain up-to-date training registers, and assist in preparing documentation for annual compliance reviews and audits.
- Manage end-to-end staff onboarding and offboarding processes, including induction coordination, probation period tracking, and updating employee records and contact listings.
- Serve as the first point of contact for general HR enquiries and staff concerns, administer Employee Assistance Program (EAP) access, and contribute to staff engagement initiatives and internal events.
- Support the cyclical review and updating of position descriptions and assist with the design and rollout of a structured staff performance review process.
Key requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in an HR support or coordination role
- Knowledge of Australian HR legislation and awards
- Excellent judgment, initiative, and ability to work autonomously
- Approachable and empathetic with the confidence to make informed decisions
- Highly organised with great attention to detail
- Experience using Employment Hero and/or JobReady is a plus
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) – or willing to obtain
