Role responsibilities

This role will focus on nurturing relationships (as well as building new ones) with supporters as the main and first point of contact for donors reaching out to the organisation.

You’ll be tasked with providing an exceptional experience in every interaction and be the warm presence on the other end of the phone.

• Be the first point of contact via inbound/outbound phone calls and emails, developing strong relationships with both general and Regular Giving donors, as well as thanking them for their donations in a timely manner.
• Manage complaints and action, resolve or escalate when required, managing them with understanding and empathy.
• Update donor records and maintain accurate recordkeeping (following best practice in data privacy/security) in the CRM database.
• Accurate processing of donations, following up on missed or lapsed payments as required and updating credit card/direct debit details.
• Ad hoc support to ensure the success of stakeholder engagement events and campaigns.

Essential Requirements

You will be comfortable in an environment that requires multi-tasking across various communication channels and tasks, and be able to effectively collaborate in a tight-knit team environment.

• Proven experience in an inbound/outbound customer service role.
• Fast, accurate and efficient data-entry skills, and experience working with CRMs.
• Strong computer skills across the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrating professionalism across a variety of communication channels.
• Strong time management skills, be able to manage competing priorities and switch between communication platforms without losing attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work with others within the organisation.
