Suicide Prevention Australia is the national peak body for the suicide prevention sector. It exists to provide a clear, collective voice for suicide prevention to help save lives. Through collaboration and shared purpose, it works to build a stronger suicide prevention sector, a more aware and engaged community, and a more effective regulatory and funding environment. Suicide Prevention Australia engages with Member organisations, governments, businesses, researchers, practitioners and those with lived experience seeking to reduce the impact of suicide on the community.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, this position is responsible for supporting Suicide Prevention Australia’s strategic objectives through effective communication, sophisticated marketing strategies, and successful event and sponsorship initiatives. As brand custodian, the Director, Marketing and Communications will oversee events, sponsorship, digital channel management and audience engagement across multiple segments. The role will also drive member communications, including audience segmentation and journey mapping, and drive brand visibility and campaigns.
You are a talented senior marketing professional with a deep understanding of audience segmentation and the ability to tailor effective communication strategy that will resonate. You are a multi-tasker whose strong project management experience will support the breadth and depth of responsibilities in this role. Driven by the opportunity to influence sector and behavioural change in an important area of health, you possess extensive experience in stakeholder management, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and consistently perform at an elevated level.
