We are currently seeking a permanent part time (2 days a week) staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine.

The role

Reporting to the Social Inclusion Project Lead, we are seeking a Social Inclusion Project Officer who can bring their skills and experience in:

  • Project management – effectively support Social Inclusion Action Groups
  • Stakeholder engagement – proactively build and maintain positive relationships with peers and stakeholders across the community, council, and the Department of Health.
  • Excellent communication skills

To be considered you will have:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Community Development, public health, health promotion, social inclusion or a related field.
  • Demonstrated project management experience targeting diverse communities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Understanding the impact of social connection and inclusion on mental health and wellbeing and of mental health and wellbeing promotion more broadly.
  • Passionate about social justice and inclusion, self-determination, culturally competent and sensitive to the needs of diverse communities including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
