ABOUT YOUR ORGANISATION

Bayside Women’s Shelter is part of the Women’s Community Shelters network, which operates nine shelters across NSW to support women and children experiencing homelessness due to domestic or family violence. We are dedicated to empowering women with client-centred and trauma-informed case management, assisting them in securing permanent housing and achieving personal support goals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Case Worker to join our crisis accommodation service in the Bayside LGA. You will play a key role in client-centric case management, helping women regain financial independence and pursue education opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-informed support to women and children experiencing crisis
  • Apply client-centric case management tailored to individual needs
  • Assist clients in navigating housing pathways and accessing domestic violence support
  • Contribute to the shelter’s daily operations
  • Develop individual case plans promoting family wellbeing and positive change
  • Maintain accurate case documentation in CIMS and have strong Microsoft skills
  • Support families in managing challenging behaviours and emotional regulation

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum Cert IV in Community Services
  • 2+ years’ casework experience in the community services sector (preferably in domestic violence or women’s support)
  • Strong ability to develop tailored solutions for diverse client needs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the homelessness sector, housing pathways, and Centrelink system
  • Proficiency in CIMS or other case management systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Current First Aid Certificate, NSW Driver’s License, and relevant background checks
  • Working With Children Check clearance and National Police Check
  • The right to live and work in Australia
  • COVID-19 vaccination
