ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re on a mission to cultivate a greener, climate-safe future. We’re seeking a dedicated Urban Forest Officer to lead the transformation of our streets into vibrant, sustainable havens for residents, visitors and wildlife. Join us in this 12-month project and lay the foundations for achieving the bold targets set out in our new Urban Forest Strategy.

A BIT ABOUT YOU:

Are you an arboriculture expert who understands the power of putting the right tree in the right place? We’ve adopted an ambitious Urban Forest Strategy to safeguard the health and prosperity of our townships in a changing climate. Now we need your expertise in tree selection and management, along with your understanding of climate and biodiversity, to develop and implement a program of works that will set our urban forest up for success.

Beyond your technical expertise, strong communication skills are essential, as you will represent the Council, engaging with the community to foster a shared commitment to a greener tomorrow.
