About your new role:

We are seeking a caring, fun-loving Therapy Partner to join our residential aged care team in Midland. Working under the direction of the Lifestyle Coordinator, the Therapy Partner is responsible for the person-centred implementation of leisure, lifestyle, and therapy activities with the residents at our aged care facility.

You will also work closely with the Occupational Therapist &/or Physiotherapist to deliver quality therapeutic interventions with our residents including the preparation, application, and evaluation of programs and activities.

Skills and Experience:

  • Completion of Certificate III Allied Health Assistance or equivalent accredited training or progression towards (desired)
  • Demonstrated understanding of person-centred principles and the ability to engage people in meaningful activity
  • Demonstrated understanding of the needs of people with dementia in relation to leisure and therapeutic activity
  • First Aid Certificate (desirable).
  • Valid unrestricted Australian Driver’s License
  • Working knowledge of WH&S legislation and practice.
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check
  • Willingness to obtain or provide proof of Influenza & Covid-19 Vaccination
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medial
  • Willingness to obtain National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check (you will receive a full refund for your NDIS check upon commencement of employment)

Roster:

  • Permanent part-time position
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday | 9am- 4pm
