About the role:

You are to provide leadership and management oversight to the Hopestreet Centre that specialises in domestic and family violence services and provides counselling, support and specialist group programs to individuals, couples, children, and families through collaborative practices that are trauma informed and evidence based.

You will ensure sustainable high quality service delivery and effective team and individual management, along with financial and risk management, stakeholder engagement and the identification of appropriate growth opportunities.

About you:

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in human or community services (e.g. counselling, psychology) and/or management related fields
  • Clinical membership of relevant professional body (e.g. PACFA - Psychotherapy and Counsellors Association of Australia)
  • Proven leadership, management, and team development skills
  • Proven experience in service and financial management and working within service delivery and budget parameters
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills with the ability to promote and build services
  • Demonstrated experience relating to diverse groups, e.g. Government departments & other agencies
  • Demonstrated Christian identity and ability to provide leadership in articulating BaptistCare’s purpose and values in management practices

Essential Competencies:

  • Able to identify and develop cooperative and effective relationships with key decision makers/personnel to achieve multi-team or functional goals
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge and skills professionally and operate within accepted practices, styles & legal/ethical standards
  • Ability and willingness to promote the ethos, purpose and values of BaptistCare
  • Demonstrated team leadership and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to social justice outcomes in counselling & group work
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Financial and Budget Management
  • Risk and Compliance management
  • Current driver’s license
  • Willing to undergo a Police Check and have a Working with Children Check
